AI Visibility Retainer

Monthly, month to month

AI visibility is not a one-time fix. Answers shift with model updates, competitors keep publishing, and citations decay. The retainer runs the loop monthly: measure where you appear, find the questions where competitors get cited and you do not, publish against exactly those gaps, and report the movement.

What is included

  • Monthly citation tracking: the question panel re-run across the four platforms, with your share of the answers trended against named competitors.
  • Two to four content pieces per month, each targeting a measured gap, drafted for your review and published under your byline only after you adopt them.
  • Drafting discipline built in: no results claims, no guarantees, nothing that reads as legal advice, written with the bar advertising rules in mind for your review.
  • Directory and citation upkeep: name, address, phone, and practice-area consistency across the sources AI engines cite.
  • Quarterly placement work: one pitch per quarter toward the legal publications and directories the engines actually cite.
  • A monthly report in plain English, plus a quarterly review framed in matters and calls, not impressions.

How it runs

  • The panel runs and the month's gaps get ranked by value and winnability.
  • A short plan lands: this month's pieces and fixes, with the evidence for each.
  • Drafts come to you for review; nothing publishes without your adoption.
  • The report arrives at month end: what moved, what decayed, what comes next.

What you get

Each month: a citation report across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google's AI Overviews with your share of the answers trended against named competitors, two to four content pieces you reviewed and adopted, and the off-site upkeep the evidence calls for.

Ongoing, month to month. Meaningful share-of-voice movement typically takes 3 to 6 months; the monthly report shows the leading indicators sooner.

A good fit if

  • Your foundation is in place and you want the compounding engine on top of it.
  • You want to see, every month, exactly what your marketing spend bought.
  • You have quit an agency before because you could not tell what they did all month.

Not the right fit if

  • You have not done the foundation work. Start with the audit or the sprint; a retainer on a broken foundation wastes your money.
  • You want a 12-month contract. Retainers run month to month on purpose.

Examples

  • An injury firm's monthly report shows which questions its pages got cited for, which questions competitors still win, and the two pieces queued next month to contest exactly those.
  • A family law client watches a competitor overtake it on custody questions after a model update. The next month's plan targets those prompts specifically, with the evidence attached.
  • An employment firm's quarterly review translates the citation trend into the number the partners actually track: consult calls, and where they came from.

What is not included

  • Guaranteed placements, rankings, or citations.
  • Paid advertising management.
  • Any legal or ethics advice.
