Legal technology consulting for law firms
Put AI to work in your practice, before your competition does.
AI is changing how legal work gets done, and the firms that adopt it early are getting real hours back. JurisLabs builds it into your practice the careful way, with client confidences protected the whole time.
For solo and small firms that want the edge AI gives, without the risk that holds most of them back.
JurisLabs is a technology consultancy, not a law firm, and does not give legal advice.
While you wait for a safe answer, other firms are pulling ahead.
You know AI can save you hours and sharpen your work. You also know one careless setup can expose a client's confidences. The vendors pitching you have never handled a privileged file, and the lawyers warning you off cannot tell you what is actually safe to use. So cautious firms freeze, and the ground shifts under them while the firms that worked it out move ahead.
Will this leak client confidences or waive privilege?
Could a hallucinated citation get me sanctioned?
Which tools are quietly training on the data I feed them?
How JurisLabs helps, all built around your client data.
Most firms start with an assessment or an audit, then move on to a build.
What a build can include
- Workflow design
- Client intake, document drafting with mandatory human review, document review and summarization, legal research with citation-checking, routine correspondence.
- Integration
- Connecting AI to your case management software (including Clio), your document system, and your other tools, with easy-to-maintain low-code automations (n8n, Power Automate, Zapier) handling the handoffs.
- Guardrails
- Tools that do not train on your data, clear data boundaries, and a human checkpoint before anything goes out.
- Planning & training
- The implementation roadmap, plus documentation and team training so it sticks.
How it works
Map
A short call and a review of your practice and current tools, to find the hours AI can give back and flag where client data is exposed.
Plan
A prioritized roadmap: what to automate, in what order, and the guardrail each piece needs. Plain English, and yours to keep.
Build
The workflows get built and connected to your existing software, configured for confidentiality from day one.
Train
Your team learns to run it, the setup is documented, and support stays available as your practice changes.
How your client data stays protected.
Confidentiality is the first design decision, not something bolted on after.
- Tools that do not train on your data
- Tools are selected for terms that keep your inputs out of model training, and configured to retain as little as possible.
- Your data stays in your control
- Clear boundaries on what goes where. Privileged files are treated as privileged at every step.
- A human verifies before anything is filed
- Every workflow that can reach a court or a client has a human review step built in, by design.
- No lock-in
- You own the setup. The goal is a practice that runs its own AI well, not dependence on JurisLabs.
JurisLabs provides technology consulting and implementation for law firms. It does not provide legal advice, and contacting JurisLabs does not create an attorney-client relationship.
Built to be safe inside a law firm.
Generic AI tools were not designed with a privileged file in mind. The difference here is in the configuration, not the slogan.
Tools are chosen for their data terms first. Anything that can retain or train on your inputs is ruled out.
A verification step is built in wherever AI output could reach a filing or a client. Nothing goes out unchecked.
You get plain answers about what creates exposure and what does not, as technology configuration, never as advice about your professional duties.

Questions
Is it safe to put client information into AI tools?
With the right tools and the right configuration, yes. The wrong setup can expose confidences or feed them to a model that trains on them. Getting that part right is the whole point of working with someone who understands how a firm has to handle data. JurisLabs uses tools that do not train on your data, and controls exactly what goes where.
Could AI get me sanctioned?
It can if you file a hallucinated citation, as a few lawyers have learned in public. The fix is process: AI drafts, a human verifies, and nothing gets filed that has not been checked. That checkpoint is built into every workflow.
Do you give legal advice?
No, and this matters. JurisLabs is a technology consultancy, not a law firm. It builds and configures AI. It does not give legal advice, and contacting it does not create an attorney-client relationship. The legal background informs how your data gets handled, nothing more.
Do I need to replace the tools I already use?
No. The goal is to work with Clio and the rest of your stack, not around it. AI gets added where it helps and connected to what you already run.
I am a solo with no IT person. Is this for me?
Especially you. Solo and small firms see the biggest time savings and have the least support figuring out how to do it safely. That gap is the whole reason JurisLabs exists.
What does it cost?
Fees are agreed up front and scoped to your firm, with no meters and no surprise invoices. Tell JurisLabs a little about your practice and you will get a direct quote. See the pricing page to ask.
