Workflow Build & Integration

Project

A hands-on project. JurisLabs designs, configures, and connects AI-assisted workflows inside the tools your firm already runs. You end with a working system tested against your real matters, not a plan.

What is included

  • A scoping session that defines exactly what gets built, in what order, and what success looks like, agreed in writing before any work begins.
  • Configuration of your case management software (Clio, a document management system, or another platform): matter templates and task automations for your practice areas, tuned to your workflow rather than the defaults.
  • Setup of the AI tools in scope: intake, drafting, research, or summarization, including templates and prompt libraries.
  • Document processing and generation: pulling data out of intake forms, contracts, and filings, and assembling first-draft documents from your own templates.
  • Easy-to-maintain, low-code automation that connects the tools, using native connectors where they exist and platforms like n8n, Power Automate, Zapier, or Make where they do not, so your firm can keep it running without a developer.
  • Testing against two or three of your real matter types, with you in the loop to confirm the output meets your standard.
  • A written handoff document, plus one post-launch check-in call 30 to 60 days after go-live.

How it runs

  • Scoping, from your assessment or a short discovery call, into a brief written project scope you approve.
  • Build, in a staging environment where possible, without disrupting your day-to-day access.
  • Review and testing against real matter scenarios, with adjustments made before handoff.
  • Go-live and handoff: you own the running system and the documentation.
  • A post-launch check-in call at 30 to 60 days.

What you get

A running, configured system in your own tools, tested against your real matter types, plus a written handoff document covering what was built and how to maintain it.

About 3 to 8 weeks depending on scope. A single workflow runs 2 to 3 weeks; several connected ones run 5 to 8.

A good fit if

  • You have a clear picture of what to automate, from an assessment or your own research.
  • You want it built correctly the first time, configured for confidentiality.
  • You run case management software (Clio, a DMS, or similar) you want AI and automation wired into.

Not the right fit if

  • You do not yet know what to automate. Start with the assessment.
  • You want an ongoing IT support or managed-services contract.
  • You want custom proprietary software rather than configuration of existing tools.

Examples

  • A solo PI firm gets a Clio Grow intake form wired to conflict checks, follow-up emails, and matter creation with fields pre-populated. New-client handling drops from 45 minutes to under 10.
  • A real-estate practice gets its 12 recurring closing documents templated in Clio with matter fields mapped in. First drafts go from 90 minutes to under 15.
  • A litigation firm gets a document-summarization workflow with appropriate data handling and a written verification checklist the associate runs on every summary.

What is not included

  • Custom software development: no bespoke apps, databases, or production code beyond small automation scripts.
  • IT infrastructure: servers, VPN, endpoint security, networks.
  • Ongoing support after the post-launch check-in. Further work is a separate engagement.
  • Any opinion on whether a specific AI output is legally correct.
